Zhong Sheng

Basic Information

Zhong Sheng, male, was born in 1978 in Zigong, Sichuan Province. In 1997, he entered School of History of Wuhan University to start his undergraduate study. Then He studied at the China 3-9th Century Research Institute of Wuhan University to complete his master’s and doctoral degree, and majored in the history of Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties. He obtained his Ph.D. in history and entered the postdoctoral station of law in Wuhan University in 2012. He has been teaching in Wuhan University School of Law since his postdoctoral work was completed at the end of 2014. He is currently an associate professor and master’s supervisor, mainly engaged in the teaching and scientific research of Chinese legal history.

His main research areas include Chinese legal history, the history of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynastiesand the history of political systems. He was a major member engaged in collating and textual research work of the Book of Wei, which is the part of new revision of the Twenty-Four Histories published by Zhonghua Book Company. He also served as an author of the third edition of Encyclopedia of China, responsible for the writing of entries in the Three Kingdoms, Two Jins and Southern and Northern Dynasties branch of Chinese history subject.
