Professor GUO Yujun

Guo Yujun is the Professor of law and Doctoral Supervisor of Wuhan University Institute of International Law, the Director of Wuhan University Art Law Center, the Vice-President and Secretary-General of China Society of Private International Law, the Secretary-General of HAN Depei Jurisprudence Foundation of Wuhan University, the Vice-President of Association of Hubei Province Urban-Rural Construction and Environmental Resource Protection, the Specialist of Legal Committee in Chinese Museums Association, the Specialist of Legal Committee in Cultural Relic Academy China, the member of International Law Association, the associate member of International Academy of Comparative Law, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of People’s Congress of Hubei Province, the member of the 12th People’s Congress of Hubei Province.

She was awarded the Prize of Hubei Province Young and Middle-aged Outstanding Jurist in 2010. She has been researching and teaching conflicts law, international civil procedure law, international commercial arbitration law, art and cultural heritage law and cultural industry law for many years, has published many academic books and papers at home and abroad. One of her leading treaties is the Law of International Loan. Her papers include the Trends of Private International Law in the 21 Century, Changing Private International Law in China, Legislation and Practice on Proof of Foreign Law in China, Personal Status in Chinese Private International Law Reform, On the Legitimacy Crisis in Investment Treaty Arbitration and its Remedies, Who owns the Rat Head and Rabbit Head of Yuanmingyuan, etc.

She earned the degree of Doctor of Law from Wuhan University. She was the Chinese member of the working group for Hague Principles for Choice of Law in International Contracts and a visiting scholar at Harvard-Yenching Institute, Osnabrueck University Germany, Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law, etc.
