The Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Thanks our Young Faculty for Supporting the International Exchange Work on Cybercrime Governance

Recently, the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a special letter to Wuhan University to express its sincere gratitude to Jing Lijia, Vice President of the Institute of Cyber Governance and Associate Professor of the Law School, for his support to the international exchange work on cybercrime governance.

The letter indicated that Associate Professor Jing Lijia gave a speech at the 2nd ASEAN Regional Forum Online Seminar on the topic of combating cybercrime, which was co-organized by China, Russia and Thailand. He shared his practical experience and suggestions on combating cybercrime for the governments, academics and industry experts of ASEAN Regional Forum member countries, which was highly evaluated by the participants.

Associate Professor Lijia Jing has been devoted to the research of information network crime, and has put forward systematic insights in combating cybercrime and improving network governance. He has published nearly 20 academic papers on issues related to the above areas in the core journals such as "Law Review", "Contemporary Law Review", "Political Science and Law", more than 10 other papers in Chinese and English, published one monograph, and presided over three National Social Science Foundation and other provincial and ministerial level projects. He participated in writing the Research Report on China's Position and Program on the Formulation of an International Convention on Cybercrime, as well as the draft of International Convention against Cybercrime, which provided important support for China's participation in the negotiation of the UN Convention against Cybercrime.
