The University of Antwerp's "International Visiting Lecturer" appointment aims to invite foreign scholars with international academic influence to visit the University on a global scale, to enhance the University's internationalisation effectively and to maintain a diverse academic exchange. The lectures delivered by Dr. Zhai Han were based on his existing teaching and research work at Wuhan University, were supported by the Law School and the Department of International Exchange, and provided valuable experience in teaching "Chinese law" in foreign languages for the University's strategy of internationalisation. The lecture was well received by the students and colleagues of the University of Antwerp and the Flemish-speaking universities in Europe. After the lecture, the students of the Faculty of Law of the University of Antwerp generally gave positive feedback on their understanding of the socialist rule of law in contemporary China, and the University of Antwerp expressed its wish to establish an exchange and cooperation programme with Wuhan University when the time is right.
