Li RenZhen-武汉大学法学院

Being a member of the faculty since 1993, Prof. Renzhen Li teaches graduate-level courses of International Economic Law and International Financial Law. Before joining School of Law, she was an associate professor in School of Management (now known as School of Economics and Management). She is currently the Deputy-Director of Department of Justice of Hubei Province, and was on leave from 2004-2005, serving as Chinese Ministry of Justice’s Deputy-Director for Department of Guidance of the Work of Lawyers and Public Notaries. She is also the Deputy-Director of Wuhan University Center for International Consumer Protection Policy and Law, the Executive-Director of Chinese Society of International Economic Law, the Deputy-Director of Law Society of Hubei Province, and the Financial Arbitrator of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission. From 2013, she becomes a Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at China Institute of Boundary and Ocean Studies of Wuhan University.

Prof. Li conducts large-scale empirical and theoretical research regarding international financial services, international financial regulation, international monetary system, international securities regulation and other various aspects of international financial law. She also has expertise in the research of China judicial system reform and women protection. Her recent books include New Horizons of International Financial Law (Wuhan University Press, 2013), International Financial Law (Third Edition, Wuhan University Press, 2011) and International Law in the Post-crisis Era (Wuhan University Press, 2010).

Prof. Li received her Ph.D. from School of Law, Wuhan University, her Mphil from School of Law, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and her LL.B. from Department of Law, Institute of Finance and Economics of Hubei Province (now known as Zhongnan University of Economics and Law).
