On December 29, Hubei Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Governor Wang Xiaodong presided over an executive meeting of the provincial government. Prof. Zhu Jie, vice dean of Wuhan University Law School, was invited to give a lecture on "Benchmarking with advanced standards to create a first-class business environment".

Prof. Zhu focused on the causes, difficulties and methods of optimizing the business environment, put forward the role of law in optimizing the business environment to consolidate the fundamentals, stabilize expectations and benefit the long term, analyzed the four shortcomings and four advantages in Hubei , and made suggestions in five areas.

The meeting pointed out that the rule of law is the best environment for business. We must adhere to optimize the business environment by the rule of law, improve the market mechanism, strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights and build a new type of government-business relationship.
