Recently, the tender results of Key Projects of Philosophy and Social Sciences Research by Ministry of Education of 2014 have been announced. Two of our projects have been approved; they are the No.3 topic “Advance the Innovation Research of Theory and Practice of The System of People’s Congress” by Professor Qin Qianhong, and the No.8 topic “Research on the Risk Prevention System about the Legalization of Chinese Debt Market” by Professor Fengguo.

Key Projects of Philosophy and Social Sciences Research by Ministry of Education is one of the most renowned and influential state funding projects established by the Ministry of Education. It aims at supporting colleges and universities to adapt to the need of state economic and social development and encouraging scholars to carry out researches oriented to the urgent needs of economic social development and academic foreland problems. Ever since the Ministry of Education launched the project in 2003, eight research projects from Law School have been approved. This year, we have two research projects approved at the same time. So far, 4 research projects from Law School have been approved to close; each of these projects has produced crucial and influential achievements, meeting the anticipated goal.

The two selected research projects this year would base themselves on the practical need of the society, aim at the advanced academic level, carry out international academic cooperation, and strive for valuable and significant academic results.

It has been reported that there were 47 out of 52 bid research projects that have been approved to project initiation.
