April 20^th, Professor Benjamin L. Liebman, director of Chinese Law Institute of Columbia Law School, visited Wuhan University School of Law. Dean Xiao Yongping, Deputy Secretary Huang Li, Associate Dean Wang Xigen, Vice Dean Feng Guo, Vice Dean Qin Tianbao and Professor Xiang Yan of Legal History Teaching and Research Section attended the formal discussion.

Professor Liebman shared Columbia University’s experience and practice in internationalized school running, put forward several constructive advices on the international development, teaching and research, talent cultivation and international exchange of School of Law. He hoped that Columbia Law School and Wuhan University School of Law would enhance their communication and cooperation. In the afternoon, Professor Liebman delivered a marvelous lecture on the Network Mechanism of American Legal Dispatch.

In recent years, about 10 scholars from School of Law have visited Columbia Law School. Dean Xiao Yongping led a delegation to Columbia Law School in 2011. There is solid foundation for cooperation between these two institutions.
