On March 5, the awarding ceremony of 2018 Zhang Min-Jiang Yishan Grant was held in Conference Room 327. Professor Zhang Xiaodong, the son of alumni Zhangmin and Jiang Yishan and  the director of Computer Science Department of Ohio State University., Sun Deyuan, the secretary of the Party Committee of Law School, Huang Li, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee, Liu Hui, the director of undergraduate office, and eight students who received financial support attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Huang Li.

The teachers and students on the spot gathered to watch the interview video of Zhang Min.

Zheng Jintao spoke as a representative of the students who received help. Combining with his own experience, he talked about that the poor students nowadays are facing more "development problems" than "survival problems". The grant can help the needy students solve their material worries and support them to move towards a broader world.

Professor Zhang Xiaodong encouraged us to study hard and accumulate strength with his own experience. We were expected to be a person with the world in mind, and to contribute our strength to the promotion of social progress.

Secretary Sun Deyuan's speech contained "gratitude" and "hope". Through the review of historical experience, we could feel the fine tradition of giving back to our alma mater.

After the ceremony, Professor Zhang Xiaodong had enthusiastic communication with the assisted students.

For the students who were subsidized, it was not only a grant awarding ceremony, but a sharing of experience, a spiritual exchange, and a inheritance of love.
