On November 29, the Supreme People's Court Foreign Law Ascertainment Platform, which was jointly established by our school, went live on the website of China International Commercial Court (http://cicc.court.gov.cn). It signaled the formal establishment of the platform for looking up foreign law of the national courts.

The platform was jointly established by the Supreme People's court, the Center for Foreign Law Ascertainment of our college, the ASEAN Legal Research Center of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, BCI, the Research Base of Foreign Law Ascertainment of China University of Political Science and Law, and the Research Centre of Foreign Law Ascertainment of East China University of Political Science and Law. It aimed to effectively solve the problem normally in looking up the foreign laws.

Currently, the platform was open to the courts at all levels, the litigants and lawyers acting in cases, the enterprises that need to use foreign laws in cross-border business investment or cross-border disputes, as well as legislature, administration, arbitration that need to refer to foreign laws.
