On November 24-25, vice president Li Ziyuan came to Marburg, the university town of Hesse, Germany, and paid a two-day visit to Philipps-Universität Marburg. During the visit, president Li and the delegation followed the progress of the exchange project between our school and the law school of Philipps-Universität Marburg, and met with the students who were studying in the law school of Philipps-Universität Marburg. Associate Professor Li Chengliang attended the investigation and met with the students.

At 9:00 a.m. on the 25th, the delegation, accompanied by Li Jiafeng, the monitor of 2017 China-Germany class, visited the dormitory of the students and had in-depth exchanges with the administrators. Then, the delegation came to the canteen and library, and investigated the operation mechanism of the student service center of Germany. Through the investigation, the delegation had a deep understanding of the learning and living environment of students of China-Germany class, as well as the difficulties they might face in their study and life.

At 11:00, the delegation had a talk with professor Michael Boelker, the vice president in charge of research and international affairs of Philipps-Universität Marburg, professor Gilbert Gornig, the former dean of the law school, and professor Markus Roth, the assistant dean of the law school. During the talks, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on issues of common concern, such as talents exchange, mutual visits of teachers, reform of education, teaching methods, projects about German law cooperation, and consolidating the cooperation between law schools of the two universities.

In the afternoon, the delegation met with 12 students studying in Marburg in Room 201of Savinyhaus, Philipps-Universität Marburg. They listened to their feelings about their study and life abroad, and answered their questions about the procedures for studying abroad, scholarship, and student service system, etc.

Our school has had a long-standing cooperation with Philipps-Universität Marburg. The exchange program of German-Law jointly established by our university and Philipps-Universität Marburg Law School has been lasted for 12 years. It has cultivated a large number of inter-disciplinary talents, which was a landmark achievement of the cooperation between the two universities.
