On September 7, the results of the 2019 "Top 10 Representatives,Events and Innovation Cases of Rule of Law in Wuhan" were officially announced, and Prof. Liu Zhengquan of our school was selected as one of the "Top 10 Representatives of Rule of Law in Wuhan" for 2019.
In July this year, the 2019 " Top Ten Representatives,Events and Innovation Cases of Rule of Law in Wuhan " selection campaign organized by the Office of the Wuhan Municipal Committee of the CPC for Comprehensive Rule of Law and the Yangtze River Daily was officially launched. During the online voting stage, a number of media and unit propaganda platforms reported and promoted the event, with the total number of votes reaching more than 300,000, and the response to the event was enthusiastic.
As an arbitrator of the Wuhan Arbitration Commission and a member of the Expert Advisory Committee of the "Belt and Road" Arbitration Institute, Prof. Liu has actively used his professional knowledge to effectively resolve various social disputes, effectively safeguarding the rights and interests of the parties and promoting social stability and harmony. At the same time, Prof. Liu insisted on engaging in theoretical studies. Among them, "The Type of Rule of Law and the Rule of Law in China", published by Wuhan University Press in 2015, systematically explains the rule of law with Chinese characteristics from the perspective of cultural self-confidence and answers a series of major theoretical questions on the construction of the rule of law in China; "The Historical Draft of Chinese Arbitration", published by Law Press in 2018, systematically examines the development of arbitration in China since the promulgation of the Arbitration Law, which has been hailed as “filling a research gap in the history of arbitration in China."
After the Wuhan Arbitration Commission's selection, Review Committee’s validation, voting and list publicity procedures, Prof. Liu and other 9 advanced representatives of rule of law were selected as the " Top 10 Representatives of Rule of Law in Wuhan " in 2019.
