On September 24, the first meeting of the Expert Committee of Ministry of Justice for the Filing and Review of Laws and Regulations was held in Beijing. Tang Yijun, Minister of justice, attended the meeting and awarded the appointment letter to the expert committee. Prof. Qin Qianhong of our school was appointed as the expert committee. Xiong Xuanguo, Vice Minister of justice, attended the meeting.

Prof. Qin, speaking on behalf of the employed experts, said that the establishment of this expert committee is conducive to the continuous supply of intellectual resources for the filing and review of regulations. He also made suggestions on the filing and review of laws and regulations.

The chief of the Bureau of legal supervision and inspection of the Ministry of justice introduced the basic situation of the filing and review of laws and regulations, and the experts discussed the relevant issues.

The Expert Committee consists of 11 scholars and 8 lawyers. Prof. Qin is the only member from universities outside Beijing.
