According to the arrangements of the Handebei Law Science Foundation of Wuhan University and the Organizational Committee of the Handebei Law Award, the first selection activities of the Handebei Award will be organized this year. Relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

1.Target Groups of the Award Appraisal

Teachers of general colleges and universities in the mainland of China, researchers of law research institutions, legal workers of national legislative, administrative and judicial organs, and legal workers of social legal service institutions can apply for the Handebei Law Award.

The applicants of the Lifelong Achievement Award should not be under 60 years old, and the applicants of the Youth Originality Award should be under 45 years old when the results are published.

2.Award Setting and Award Quota

The first Handebei Law Award consists of two lifelong achievement awards, each with a bonus of 200,000 RMB, and eight youth originality awards, each with a bonus of 50,000 RMB.

3. Ways and requirements of application

Anyone who applies for the Lifelong Achievement Awards should be recommended. The sponsor invited by the organizing committee shall fill in the recommendation form and sign his name. The recommended table is attached.

Anyone who applies for the Youth Originality Awards must complete the application form truthfully and sign by himself. The application form is attached.

4. Application Material

The application materials include an application form or recommendation form, a copy of the identity card, representative academic achievements and other relevant certificates.

Ten copies of the above mentioned materials shall be submitted (at least one original) and electronic version of the application form or recommendation form shall be submitted to the office of the jury before September 30 (no longer accepted after the expiration date).

5. Timing

In August 2019, a selection announcement was issued.

In November 2019, the communication review will be completed.

In December 2019, a review meeting will be held.

At the end of 2019, the Award Presentation Conference of the first Handebei Law Award will be held, and the "Forum on the Rule by Law in the New Era" will be held at the same time.
