Mo HongXian

Professor

Mo Hongxian, female, born in September 1954 in Wuhan, Hubei, Han Chinese, professor, doctoral supervisor, member of Communist Party of China.

From September 1984 to July 1986, I studied at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law in Yugoslavia, where I awarded the degree of master of law. I awarded my doctorate at Wuhan University in 1997. From October 1996 to October 1997, I served as a visiting scholar at Faculty of Law, Saint Petersburg State University. I have attended academic meetings and academic exchanges in America, England, France, Ireland, German, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and so on, and Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao of China. Research fields: Criminal Law and Criminology.

I have written the book Research on Organized Crime; chief edit The Analyses For Criminal Cases, The Influence of Joining United Nations Convention Against Transactional Organized Crime, Overview Of Criminology, Research on The Securities Crime Theory and Investigation, Theory and Practice of the protection of the interests of minors, Theory and Practice of protection of the interests of Criminal Victim, Research on Problems and Countermeasures of Juvenile Crime and so on.

I have co-authored more than ten books, such as Causes and Countermeasures of Major criminal cases trending up, Research on Criminal Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in China: A Multidimensional Perspective. I have published over a hundred articles at Social Science Abroad, Legal Science, Criminal Law Review, Research on Comparative Legal Study of Japan, Criminal Policy Research of Korea. I have hosted more than twenty projects which supported by China National Social Science Fund, Doctoral Fund of Social Science of Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, Scientific Research Project of Hubei and European Union Project. I have coauthored with others on History of Modern Western Criminal Law Theory, which were awarded as the second prize of outstanding achievements of sixth humanities and social science in colleges and universities in 2013, and the second prize of outstanding achievements of social science in Hubei. “Based on the construction of Chinese criminal law, foster legal talents who has modern criminal judicial philosophy” were awarded as the first prize of teaching achievements of colleges and universities in China; “enhancing quality of postgraduate, foster high-level talents of criminal law” were awarded as the second prize of teaching achievements of nation, and the first prize of teaching achievements of province in 1997; Research on Organized Crime were awarded as the third prize of outstanding achievements of social science in Hubei from 1994 to 1998. I have been awarded as Ministry of Education “national prominent teacher”, outstanding contribution experts of Hubei Province, March-eighth red-banner pacesetter, and the expert who received special subsidy of government.

I am the director of RCCL; and deputy president of International Criminal Law Association China Branch, deputy president of China Criminal Law Research Committee, standing member of Chinese Juvenile Criminology Research Committee, standing member of Dong Biwu’s Legal Thought Research Society, deputy president of Wuhan Law Society; CPPCC member of Wuhan; member of Case Instruction Expert Committee of People’s Supreme Court, member of Expert Advisory Committee of Huber Higher People’s court, the People’s Procuratorate of Hubei, Wuhan Intermediate People’s Court, the People’s Procuratorate of Wuhan, Public Security Bureau and so on.
