Feng Jiehan now teaches, writes, and practices in the fields of public international law and intellectual property law.

In 2003, Feng received her doctorate at the Law School of Wuhan University with a thesis entitled “Public Health Crisis and the Reform of International Intellectual Property Systems: Focus on TRIPS”. From then till now, she worked as a researcher at the Wuhan University Institute of International Law. She is also a key lecturer in Public International Law Master and in Juris Master.

As of January 2012, Feng was appointed professor at the Law School of Wuhan University. She is deputy director of the Wuhan University Institute of International law from 2018. She also served as the member of the Wuhan's Political Consultative Conference.

Professor Feng worked as a researcher at the National Top Think-tank from 2015 and served as a legal adviser to the Department of Treaty and Law of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2016, to provide legal advice about UN and China foreign affair issues.

She engaged in many international, regional and bilateral academic activities. She was a visiting scholar at the Law School and Public Health School of Harvard University (the United States) in 2005-2006, at the Business School of Macquaire University (Australia) in 2015, at the Law School of Leiden University (Netherland) on October 2018, respectively.

Professor Feng has published many articles on international law and intellectual property law. She is also served for six years on the Annual Report of Chinese Practice on International Law as editors-in-chief. In 2015, the Commercial Press published her Chinese-translation work on International Law (6th Version), which is edited by Barry E. Carter and Allen S. Weiner in English originally.
