Wuhan University Institute of International Law

Founded in 1980, the Institute is the first college-based academic institution focusing on international law and one of the earliest academic institutions to grant master, doctoral degrees and provide post-doctoral program in law. In 1987, the National Education Commission listed the Institute as a key institute and in 1988, recognized it as a major participant in the discipline of international law. In 1997, The Ministry of Education incorporated the “International and Comparative Law” project into the “211 Key Projects” list. Over the past 20 years, the Institute has always laid attention to the research on public international law, private international law and international economic law at the same time, and emphasizing the cross-over and comprehensive research of these disciplines. The Institute has formed a distinguished feature which has completive branch disciplines and research directions, renowned young scholars, well-developed disciplines and leading accomplishments in research and teaching in the field of international law of China. In September 2000, the Ministry of Education recognized the Institute as a major college-affiliated research base on arts and social sciences. Link: http://zggjfw.org/
