From September 10 to 11, the 2024 Outer Space Security Conference hosted by the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) was held at the United Nations Office in Geneva. Professor Su Jinyuan from the School of Law, Wuhan University, was invited to participate in the conference and elaborated on issues such as the current shortcomings of outer space law in ensuring outer space security and the significance of security principles in other fields for outer space.
The Outer Space Security Conference is the annual flagship event of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research, bringing together diplomats, military personnel, industry insiders, and experts from academia. It serves as an important platform for discussing challenges to outer space security and seeking solutions from technological, legal, and policy perspectives.
