On October 25, the meeting between teachers and international students of the Master's Program of International Law and Chinese Law was held in the classroom 323. Professor Zhu Jie, the vice dean of the Law School, professor Nie Jianqiang, the deputy director of the Institute of International Law, Ignacio de la Rasilla del Moral, Shi Lei, Gan Yong and Zhu Lei attended the meeting. Li Xueping, the director of the program, presided over the meeting.
Vice dean Zhu Jie introduced the glory and splendid history of Wuhan University to the foreign students with the "Four Most": the oldest university, the most comprehensive disciplines, the most beautiful campus and the strongest spirit of reform and innovation in China.
Professor Nie Jianqiang, the deputy director of the Institute of International Law, delivered a speech to welcome the arrival of international students. He expressed great expectations for their role as a bridge in all-round communication between China and the world.
The class monitors of the program made speeches successively. The two students expressed their gratitude for the precious learning opportunities offered by the Chinese government, Wuhan University and Wuhan University School of Law. They sincerely put forward some suggestions, such as improving the training methods, teaching modes and overcoming language barriers for foreign students.
Professor Ignacio de la Rasilla del Moral pointed out that a researcher should lay a solid foundation and not be confined to the professional field. Mr. Zhu Lei not only put forward the corresponding requirements on the study and research for foreign students, but also expressed his expectation for the students to enrich their life and experience in China.
International students and the teachers had interactive exchanges. The teachers answered questions about the selection of tutors, thesis writing and other matters related to overseas students.
