On November 8, the unveiling ceremony of the administrative prosecution research center of Wuhan University and the seminar of "theory and practice of administrative Prosecution in the new era" were held in Wuhan University School of Law. Han Dayuan, the president of Constitutional Law Research Association of China law society, Liu Maolin, the president of Hubei University of Police, Zhang Xiangjun, the director of the seventh prosecution office of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Jin Xin, a member of the party group of Hubei People's Procuratorate, and other experts and scholars attended the ceremony. Li Ziyuan, the vice president of Wuhan University, attended the unveiling ceremony and delivered a speech. The unveiling ceremony was presided over by Sun Deyuan, the secretary of the party committee of Wuhan University School of Law.
Prof. Li Ziyuan expressed his gratitude to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the prosecution organs at all levels for their long-term support for the teaching and research work of Wuhan University. He pointed out that the establishment of the administrative prosecution research base in Wuhan University was of great significance for promoting the development of law science and deepening the research of prosecution theory in Wuhan University.
Chen Shiyin, the deputy director of Platform Department of Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences of Wuhan University, read out the notice of the establishment of the administrative prosecution research of Wuhan University, and appointed professor Qin Qianhong as the director of the research center. Later, director Zhang Xiangjun and vice president Li Ziyuan jointly unveiled the research center.
Professor Qin Qianhong read out the appointment list of the research center. Zhang Xiangjun served as the joint director. Professor Han Dayuan was the member of the academic committee. Professor Liu Maolin, professor Lin Lihong, professor Hong Hao, professor Xu Hanming were appointed as the members of the academic committee. Professor Zhang Hong and professor Huang Mingtao were the deputy directors of the center. Professor Xu Yawen, professor Jiang Guohua and other experts in theoretical research and some experts in prosecution system were the researchers of the center. Vice president Li Ziyuan issued letters of appointment to the joint director of the research center, the director of the academic committee and member representatives. Dean Feng Guo issued letters of appointment to the first batch of researcher representatives.
Professor Han Dayuan, the director of the academic committee of the research center, congratulated the establishment of the research center. He said that Wuhan University had a deep discipline foundation in the field of administrative prosecution research. He hoped that the research center would devote itself to exploring the basic theoretical problems and practical problems of administrative prosecution in the future.
Jin Xin, the deputy prosecutor general of the people's Procuratorate of Hubei Province and Chen Xiaohua, the deputy prosecutor general of the people's Procuratorate of Wuhan, expressed their congratulations on the establishment of the research center and their expectations for future development. They said that the prosecution organs would support the work of the research center in all aspects. They would be willing to explore the effective cooperation between the procuratorate and the school, and jointly launch high-level and influential research results of prosecution theory.
Mr. Zhang Xiangjun said that in order to deepen the research of prosecution theory, we should focus on strengthening the combination of prosecution and school work, strengthening the integration of superior resources, strengthening theoretical innovation, and working together to improve the level and quality of the research results of prosecution theory.
After the unveiling ceremony, the experts and scholars at the meeting discussed the "theory and practice of administrative prosecution in the new era", and discussed the concept and scope of administrative prosecution, and the allocation of authority.
It is reported that in August this year, the Supreme People's Procuratorate decided to award Wuhan University the "research base of administrative prosecution of the Supreme People's Procuratorate" and carried out joint construction with Wuhan University. The research center would specifically undertake the relevant work of the base.
