Recently, the 12th Hubei Provincial Social Science Excellent Achievement Award was announced, and seven achievements of our law school were awarded. Among them, there is one first prize, three second prizes and three third prizes.
The first-prize winner was Prof. Zhang Hui's article " A Community of Shared Future for Mankind——The Contemporary Development of the Social Foundations Theory of International Law " published in Chinese Social Science, Issue 5, 2018; the second-prize winners were Prof. He Ronggong's paper "Prevention of the Expansion of Criminal Law and Its Limits", Prof. Li Long's paper "These Five Years of Comprehensive Rule by Law", and Prof. Qin Qianhong's book "Research on Reform of State Supervision System"; Prof. Wu Yiwen's paper " Rules on the Determination of Causation in Insurance Law ", Prof. Huang Zhixiong's paper "Towards the International Rule of Law in Cyberspace: Contrasting Chinese and Western Approaches" and Prof. Ran Keping's series of papers on Group Property of Spouses won the third prize.
In order to promote the prosperous development of philosophical and social sciences in Hubei province, improve the level of social science research, and mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of social scientists, the Hubei Provincial Government has established the Provincial Award for Excellent Achievements in Social Sciences, which is awarded every two years. According to the Implementation Rules of the Interim Measures for Awarding Excellent Achievements in Social Sciences in Hubei Province and the Implementation Plan of the 12th Hubei Provincial Award for Excellent Achievements in Social Sciences, after individual declaration, unit recommendation, preliminary evaluation, re-evaluation, and final examination procedures, a total of 260 awards were granted, including 20 first prizes, 81 second prizes, and 159 third-class awards.
Our university has won 62 awards this year, including 8 first prizes, 22 second prizes and 32 third prizes.
