On December 4, professor Geert Vervaeke, the dean of Tilburg Law School, Netherlands, professor Han Somsen of environmental law, and Dr. Junwei Fu, the head of the Chinese affairs office, visited our school. Dean Feng Guo and Hu bin, the deputy director of the Research Institute of Environmental Law met with the guests.
Dean Feng Guo welcomed them and introduced the preponderant disciplines, talent training, student exchange and cooperation of our law school. He expressed great expectation to promote cooperation with Tilburg Law School in the fields of student exchange and academic research.
Professor Hu bin introduced the basics of Research Institute of environmental law to the guests. He hoped that the we two schools could further strengthen exchanges and promote cooperation in environmental law research.
Taking the visit as an opportunity, professor Geert Vervaeke hoped to establish a formal and long-term partnership between Tilburg Law School and our school.
Tilburg University, founded in 1927, was a comprehensive public university located in Tilburg. In the World University Rankings 2019 released by the Times, its law discipline ranks 43rd in the world. Several young teachers of our school in the field of environmental law and constitutional law graduated from Tilburg University. Some doctoral students went to Tilburg Law School to participate in the joint doctoral training program with the support of the China Scholarship Council.
