Our Achievements were Selected as the Accomplishments of the 2022 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit

On November 10, the 2022 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit "International Rules in Cyberspace: Practice and Exploration" forum was held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province. Cao Shumin, deputy director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, attended the forum and delivered a speech. Nearly 60 guests from governments, universities, research institutions, industry associations and enterprises participated in the forum both online and offline. A document titled "Compilation of Outcomes of International Seminars on Building a Community with A Shared Future in Cyberspace" (Chinese and English edition) was released at the forum. The consensus results of the international symposium on "The Community of Destiny in Cyberspace and the International Rule of Law in Cyberspace" hosted by our university became an important part of the document.



From April to September 2022, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Southeast University, Tongji University, Zhejiang University, Beihang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Fudan University, Tsinghua University and our Research Institute for Cyberspace Governance invited more than 100 experts and scholars from universities, research institutions, technology communities and government departments to hold a series of international seminars on "Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace" focusing on key issues such as cyber culture, digital economy and cyber security, which produced a series of results. Among them, Professor Huang Zhixiong's team from Research Institute for Cyberspace Governance, Wuhan University, together with the Law School and Wuhan University Academy of International Law and Global Governance, hosted an international seminar on "The Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace and the International Rule of Law in Cyberspace" on August 12, 2022. Experts from the Russian National Research University Higher School of Economics, Nanjing University, Stockholm University, the Law School of Tansian University, Wuhan University, Hong Kong University, Xiamen University, Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization, Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II,University of Glasgow, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, etc., discussed the current frontier of international rule of law in cyberspace. The eight agreements reached at the seminar are fully reflected in the second part of "Strengthening the International Rule of Law in Cyberspace" in the "Compilation of Outcomes of International Seminars on Building a Community with A Shared Future in Cyberspace".


The document "Compilation of Outcomes of International Seminars on Building a Community with A Shared Future in Cyberspace" was jointly completed by nearly 100 experts and scholars. The document contributes to the building of a community with a shared future in cyberspace by building a new order of international governance in cyberspace, strengthening the international rule of law in cyberspace, accelerating the construction of a digital economy rule system, strengthening the construction of digital infrastructure, strengthening international cooperation in the protection of critical information infrastructure, strengthening online cultural exchange and mutual appreciation, and strengthening international cooperation in the development of digital science and technology.
