On December 6, the twenty-first lecture of Weibo Law Lecture Hall was held at the Law School. Prof. Wang Shirong, Assistant to the President of Northwest University of Political Science and Law, President of the Institute of Fengqiao Experience and Social Governance, Prof. Zhang Zonglin, former Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Public Complaints Office, Professor of China University of Political Science and Law, Lou Changqing, Party Secretary and President of Yongkang People's Court, Zhejiang Province, and Prof. Yu Zhaofei, Director of Hangzhou Normal University Fengqiao Experience Research Centre, were invited to give the lecture. The lecture was hosted by Prof. Qin Qianhong of Wuhan University Law School. He Zhen, Secretary of the Party Group and President of the Jiangxia District People's Court of Wuhan, Hubei Province, Prof. Zhang Hong and Su Shaolong of Wuhan University Law School attended the lecture.
Prof. Wang believed that the Fengqiao Experience plays an irreplaceable role in grassroots social governance, and explained the inspiration of the Fengqiao Experience for grassroots social governance with specific cases.
Prof. Zhang suggested that under the guidance of the Fengqiao Experience in the new era, the Public Complaints System could be better utilised and provide sufficient resources for the modernisation of social governance.
President Lou Changqing introduced the Longshan Experience as the Yongkang practice of the Fengqiao Experience in the new era, and put forward relevant thoughts on the differentiated development of the Longshan Experience.
Prof. Yu believed that the Fengqiao experience is rooted in traditional Chinese culture and the development of China, and has been highlighted the protection of important rights such as the people's right to life, equality and development.
During the Q&A session, the speakers responded to questions. Prof. Qin Qianhong thanked the four speakers and expressed his views on the relationship between the Fengqiao Experience and social governance. The lecture was successfully concluded.
