The Constitution is the fundamental law of China and the core of the socialist rule of law system with Chinese characteristics. In order to implement Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law and to strengthen the implementation of the Constitution, the Law School organized Constitution Day activities.
At 8:00am on December 4, volunteers from the Law School Postgraduate Association and students from the Law Popularization Association came to Wanlin Square. They prepared display boards, photo boards and other props, as well as quiz on the Constitution and fun games. The atmosphere was warm and there were many participants. The morning reading of the Constitution began at 9:00am with President Dou Xiankang leading over 500 teachers and students to read aloud the chapters of Constitution. 40 students and teachers born on the 4th of December formed a special formation to present a poem recitation of the Salute to the Constitution. Mr. Peng Chao,a young teacher from the Faculty of Constitutional and Administrative Law,whose birthday falls on the same day as National Constitution Day,participated in the special formation.
The Undergraduate Youth League Branch actively carried out the National Constitution Day themed day activities. The Postgraduate Party Branch also participated in the activities through the theme of Promoting the spirit of the Constitution and establishing faith in the Constitution. Law is the key to governance of country. Our School has long taken Constitution Awareness Week and National Constitution Day as important windows for the promotion of the law, and is committed to creating a culture of the rule of law on campus and in society.
