Recently, Prof. Zhang Wanhong was appointed as a member of the Expert Advisory Committee of the 14th Five-Year Plan for China's Disabled Persons at the 14th Disabled Persons Development Forum. He then delivered a keynote speech at the conference on 30 years of building the rule of law for persons with disabilities.
Prof. Zhang was also selected as an expert member of the first National Committee on Ageing Expert Committee. During his three-year term, he will be deeply involved in the consultation and validation of major decisions in the field of ageing.
In recent years, Prof. Zhang’s team has been deeply involved in the protection of the rights of specific groups, and has published many research results in media and platforms such as People's Daily and Annual Report on China’s Human Rights, gaining wide attention. In Wuhan University Institute of International Rule of Law (a national high-end think tank), Prof. Zhang is the chief expert on "International Human Rights Law of Specific Groups".
