The Supreme People's Procuratorate Conferred on Our School the Administrative Procuratorial Research Base


On August 30, the granting ceremony and symposium on procuratorate theory work of the Procuratorate Research Base of the Supreme People's Procuratorate were held in Beijing. The Center for Administrative Procuratorial Research of our university was awarded "the Administrative Procuratorial Research Base of the Supreme People's Procuratorate". Zhang Jun, the secretary of the Party Leadership and chief procurator of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, attended the meeting and awarded a plaque to the Administrative Procuratorial Research Base. Tong Jianming, the deputy chief procurator, presided over the meeting. Wan Chun, a full-time member of the Committee, participated in the meeting. Tang Qizhu, the vice president of our university, Feng Guo, the deanof the Law School, and representatives of the Administrative Procuratorial Research Center attended the meeting.

At the granting ceremony, Zhang Jun awarded the plaque to the Center for Administrative Procuratorial Research of Wuhan University. The vice president Tang Qizhu accepted the plaque on behalf of the school.

At the symposium, Zhang Jun said that the most important "input" of the Supreme People's Procuratorate were guiding cases, typical cases, case handling data, judicial interpretation and normative documents. It was important to break the information barrier between the procuratorate system and universities, so as to utilize effective exchange and cooperation between them.

Tang Qizhu thanked the Supreme People's Procuratorate for its trust and strong support in teaching and scientific research. He said that Wuhan University was confident and capable of running a good research base. Wuhan University would speed up the construction of the base and strive to produce fruitful results in personnel training, academic research and think tank services.

Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Zhejiang University, Shandong University, Southeast University, Tianjin University, China University of Politics and Law, Zhengzhou University, Southwest University of Politics and Law, Northwest University of Politics and Law, East China University of Political Science and Law, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Xiangtan University, Henan University of Finance, Politics and Law, and the Foreshore Research Base of Rule of Law were jointly awarded the procuratorial research base of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

Previously, the Supreme People's Procuratorate approved the establishment of the Administrative Procuratorial Research Center of Wuhan University. Professor Qin Qianhong, was appointed as the director of the research center.
