Lv Bin Won the First Prize at the National Civil and Commercial Law Doctoral Forum

On 28 November 2020, "New Development of Civil and Commercial Law Interpretation in the Era of Civil Code - The Second National Civil and Commercial Law Doctoral Forum" was successfully held, with 40 outstanding doctoral students from more than 20 universities invited to attend.

A total of three students were invited to participate in this forum, and all of them won awards. The first prize was awarded to Lv Bin for his thesis on The Effectiveness of the Restriction of the Concession of Claims, supervised by Prof. Ran Keping; The second prize was awarded to Li Mingjie for his thesis on A Legal Economics Analysis on the Buyer Rule in Normal Business in the Property Section of the Civil Code, supervised by Prof. Zhang Suhua; The Third prize was awarded to Liang Ying for her thesis on The Codified Interpretation on the Pledge of Receivables System, supervised by Prof. Luo Kun.

Lv Bin, a Master student of Civil and Commercial Law of the School of Law, Class of 2019. In his award-winning thesis, he adopted a comparative law and law and economics approach, proposing two constructive principles for the limitation of the special effect of the alienation of claims, and on this basis, uniting relevant legislation, doctrinal views and jurisprudence in comparative law.
