On 14 December 2020, the 10th lecture of the Luojia Law Lecture Hall was held at Wuhan University Law School. Prof. Jiang Bixin, Vice Chairman of the Constitution and Law Committee of the National People's Congress and Vice President of China Law Society, gave a lecture on "In-depth Study of Xi Jinping's Thought on the Rule of Law and Further Promotion of Administrative Rule of Law". The lecture was hosted by Prof. Feng Guo, Dean of Wuhan University School of Law, and addressed by Prof. Shen Zhuanghai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University, with Prof. Qin Qianhong, Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, as the guest speaker. Prof. Meng Qinguo, Prof. Qin Tianbao, Prof. Zhang Suhua, Prof. Ran Keping and Associate Prof. Zhou Wei participated in this lecture.
Firstly, Prof. Jiang outlined the seven aspects of Xi Jinping's discourse on the construction of the administrative rule of law. Secondly, Prof. Jiang summarized the salient features of Xi Jinping's discourse in six points. Finally, Prof. Jiang shared four thoughts on how to implement Xi Jinping's thoughts on the rule of law and promote the construction of the administrative rule of law.
In the discussion session, Prof. Qin Qianhong commented on the relationship between politics and law, and the national conditions of China. In the interactive session, Prof. Jiang discussed "How to understand the relationship between substantive and formal rule of law", "How to deal with the relationship between public and private interests", "How to do a good job of judicial supervision", and "How to control power".
At the end of the lecture, Dean Feng Guo expressed his gratitude to the speaker Prof. Jiang, and the panelist Prof. Qin. The lecture came to an end with a round of applause.
