A Delegation from the University of Montreal in Canada Visited Our College

On October 24, professor Michel Morin, the vice dean of Law School of University of Montreal, and Professor Jiao Jie, the head of China program visited our college. Vice dean Huang Zhixiong met with the guests.

Dean Michel Morin declared and promoted the Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships. He highlighted the types of scholarship categories, selection criteria and procedures. Huang Zhixiong said that he would promote the project and encourage relevant post-doctoral and young scholars to actively declare and benefit from it.

After the meeting, Dean Michel Morin gave a lecture about the LL.M. project, Master of Comparative Common Law project and Doctor of Innovative Science and Law project.

 Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships 2018-2010 will sponsor a qualified post-doctoral and young scholar to visit the law school of the University of Montreal before the end of 2020 for further studies in management and judicial research. The amount of funding are 25,000 Canadian dollars and 30,000 Canadian dollars, respectively.

 The Law School of University of Montreal was founded in 1878. In terms of the number of undergraduate and graduate students, the law school ranks first in Canada, and nearly one third of the law students are graduate students. The law school have full-time 60 professors and more than 100 part-time professors. It also ranks first among Canadian law schools in research activities. The college have a well-equipped library, a nice computer room and a single teaching building.
